Postal Voting Centre – Postal Vote Details.

In accordance with the Election Commission of India’s directives for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly General Election—and with the goal of enabling all eligible voters to cast their ballots on the designated election date of April 23, 2026—Postal Voting Centres have been established as detailed below. These polling places are specifically designed to allow police officers and emergency service workers who will be on duty on election day to vote. To exercise this privilege, such personnel must present Election Commission-authorized identity documents, as well as duty orders confirming their assignment on election day, at Postal Voting Centres located within the Returning Officers’ offices corresponding to their respective Assembly constituencies.[PDF 71 KB]
